President and Chief Executive Officer
As the business leader for ModSpace, Mr. Paquin is responsible for overseeing the business operations and strategic vision for the company. Mr. Paquin initially joined ModSpace (formerly Resun) in August 2001, in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer, and was promoted to President and CEO in November 2003. Prior to joining ModSpace, Mr. Paquin was Chief Financial Officer for Volvo Commercial Finance North America, a captive finance company with $3 billion in assets in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Among his significant previous positions, Mr. Paquin was employed by General Electric Company (1989 - 1995). His last assignment at GE was with the Commercial Transportation leasing division of GE Capital Fleet Services in Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. Paquin holds both a BS and an MBA in International Finance from the University of Ottawa.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Burns joined Modular Space Corporation as Chief Financial Officer in January 2008. Mr. Burns is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations including corporate financing, corporate accounting, financial controls, treasury and risk management. Prior to joining ModSpace, Mr. Burns was the CFO and Treasurer of Checkpoint Systems, Inc. from 2000 to 2007. Checkpoint is an $800M manufacturer and marketer of identification, tracking, security and merchandising solutions for the retail industry worldwide. Mr. Burns was a member of Checkpoint’s Board of Directors from 2002 to 2005. Other positions held at Checkpoint included Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and Director of Tax. Mr. Burns has a B.S. in Commerce from Washington & Lee University, and an M.S. in Taxation from Villanova University.
Senior Vice President, U.S. Field Operations
As the Senior Vice President—U.S. Field Operations, Mr. Bremer has responsibility for overseeing sales, operations, strategic accounts and business development for ModSpace in the United States. Prior to his current role, Mr. Bremer held positions at ModSpace as the Senior Vice President of Operations responsible for sales fulfillment for more than 130 locations in Canada and the United States, and then as Senior Vice President of the Western division responsible for sales and operations. Prior to ModSpace, Mr. Bremer worked for GE Capital, after serving in sales and management roles with Polaroid Corp. Mr. Bremer earned a BS in Management Sciences & Accounting at the State University of New York at Geneseo, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Senior Vice President, Canada
Mr. Boily is Senior Vice President for ModSpace Canada, which is headquartered in Brampton, Ontario, and is responsible for overseeing ModSpace business in Canada. Prior to ModSpace, Mr. Boily was the Canadian leader of GE Modular Space for seven years, having joined the company in January 1997 as a Territory Manager in Toronto. Prior to GE, he was with one of Canada's largest modular manufacturers, Les Maisons Quebco, based in Val-d'Or, Quebec, where he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and was part owner for a period of nine years. Mr. Boily earned a BBA with a double major in Marketing and Human Resources from Bishop's University, Lennoxville, Quebec.
Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel
Mr. Sheets joined ModSpace (formerly Resun) in January 2004, and is responsible for managing all legal affairs of ModSpace and advising management and the Board of Directors on the legal aspects of day-to-day business operations. He also serves as Corporate Secretary for ModSpace. Prior to joining ModSpace, Mr. Sheets was an attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of Ober Kaler, P.C., where he was a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Finance Department and represented equipment leasing and finance companies. Mr. Sheets holds a BA in Medieval History from the University of North Carolina and a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Chief Information Officer
Ms. Somes joined ModSpace in June 2007 as the Vice President of Integration. In this position, she led the effort to migrate the business to a single technology platform. Ms. Somes now leads the information technology team and is responsible for all aspects of ModSpace’s telecommunications, networks, infrastructure and core business applications. Ms. Somes came to ModSpace with over 23 years experience in information technology, operations, finance and business development at both privately held companies and large corporations in the US and Canada. She previously had executive positions at Volvo Commercial Finance, GE Capital and General Electric Canada. Ms. Somes holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.
Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer for ModSpace, Mr. McManus draws experience from 25 years of human resources management in the chemical, flavors/fragrances and financial services industries. Mr. McManus has held numerous leadership positions in privately held companies as well as large, corporate environments in the USA and Europe. Before joining ModSpace in September 2008, Mr. McManus held the role of SVP Global Operations/VP Human Resources at Symrise, responsible for global operations in the fragrance division and HR functional excellence in North America. Prior to Symrise, Mr. McManus was VP Human Resources, Global Foods, Quest International, located in Naarden, The Netherlands. Mr. McManus holds a B.S. degree in Safety Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s in Management from Troy State University.
Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Wagner joined ModSpace in January 2010 and is responsible for managing brand and product development, lead generation and sales support initiatives. In this leadership role, Mr. Wagner draws from 20-plus years of corporate marketing and communications experience, most recently as Vice President of Marketing with GMAC Financial Services. Over the course of his career, Mr. Wagner has worked extensively to provide both B2B and B2C brand and marketing leadership to retail and direct sales channels, covering product packaging and positioning, advertising, direct response, e-marketing, marketing communications and public relations. His industry marketing experience includes consumer financial services, residential real estate, automotive, health and fitness, telecommunications and secondary education. Mr. Wagner holds a B.A. in Advertising from the College of Communications of Penn State University.
