Permanent Modular Complex

SITUATION

Bridgeport Hospital needed to adjoin a new Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Facility to its existing building. The new facility needed to accommodate 12 people at a time, rather than the traditional one-person chamber. The space also needed to provide an easy way to maneuver between the Wound Healing Center at the hospital and the new Therapy Center.

SOLUTION

MedBuild, the dedicated healthcare division of ModSpace, delivered a turnkey modular solution within 150 days. The new modular building was designed to house a specialized hyperbaric chamber, manufactured by OxyHeal. The facility incorporated a separate waiting area for patients and additional examination rooms.

And by taking advantage of MedBuild's financing program, Bridgeport Hospital was able to conserve their cash for future projects while providing their community with the much needed wound treatment center today.

“MedBuild was able to design a customized solution that provided us the opportunity to incorporate a hyperbaric wound care facility at Bridgeport Hospital, allowing us to become the first healthcare facility in southeastern Fairfield County to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HOBT) for difficult-to-heal wounds. We are committed to providing the best care for our patients and felt confident in the design and execution MedBuild provided our facility.” — William Butler, MD – Surgeon and Medical Director, Wound Healing Center, Bridgeport Hospital
