SOLUTION

ModSpace worked closely with school officials to scout locations, secure financing, design and build the new Mountain Island Charter School. In just 3 Weeks, ModSpace delivered a new facility that inspires creativity and learning today while promising permanent options for tomorrow.

Though speed to completion was crucial, so was the quality and viability of the construction. The new school includes 31 code-compliant built-to-last portable classrooms in four finished buildings. Exterior finishes, walkways and landscaping were added to further enhance the school grounds.

The school welcomed 600 new students from Kindergarten through 7th grade as scheduled. Thanks to careful planning for short-term needs and long-term goals, Mountain Island will also welcome one additional grade every year until it serves all students from K through 12. Today the school has a waiting list of more than 300 students.

“Mountain Island will be a permanent fixture in this community. Not just in the difference it’s going to make in our community, but also in its physical presence.”

Linda Bratcher, Mountain Island Charter School Head
