MedBuild made it happen

DaVita LaGrange

Alamo Modular UnitTo address the growing patient population in the LaGrange Kentucky area, DaVita, the largest independent dialysis provider in the United States, needed a dialysis treatment facility completed in a strategic location and in a timeframe that would beat the competition to market.

DaVita made a commitment to their medical director and physician practices to have a facility open and functioning in a short period of time. In order to accomplish their goals, they looked at alternatives to conventional construction. MedBuild re-worked DaVita’s conventional construction design to provide a modular solution which would allow them to meet their patients’ needs and at the same time offer a means to beat their competitor to market. The design includes a full brick exterior, architectureal shingled gable roof, and a drive thru portico entrance providing an attractive and efficient facility that is indistinguishable from conventional construction.

MedBuild gained aditional time savings by completing the central acid, bi-carb and RO piping in the water treatment and dialysis areas at the factory, thus requiring minimal final connections on-site.

“In the face of a tight timeframe and almost impossible demands, MedBuild made it happen!”
Richard Porterfield, Project Manager, DaVita, Inc.
