ModSpace
gave new meaning to the term "mobile office" when a recent
construction site project required office space to be
delivered and set up high on top of a mountain.
Layton Construction Company needed project office space for use during construction on Deer Valley Mountain located outside of Salt Lake City. With a top elevation of 9,570 feet, Deer Valley Mountain created a unique challenge for ModSpace. Space constraints on the side of the mountain for the project offices that Layton Construction required meant that ModSpace had to deliver, level and block construction trailers literally a car's width between from the edge of a 100 foot drop off the side of the mountain. On the other side of the modular buildings were newly cut ski runs coming down the side of Deer Valley Mountain.
The challenging mountainside job site location required careful planning between the customer and ModSpace. A grouping of four (4) in-fleet construction trailers allowed for flexibility in the positioning of the office space that was literally sitting on the side of a mountain.
Layton Construction needed to create special ramps to the pad site where the buildings were to be located on the mountain. Due to the steep approach to the job site location several treacherous attempts where necessary during the delivery and installation process of these modular units. In order to safely deliver units to the job site Layton Construction had to continue to cut away at the mountain until ModSpace was able to get the units down to the ledge where they were to be utilized for project office space on the side of the mountain.
The end result was efficient mobile office space nestled
on top of the beautiful Deer Valley Mountain.
Now that's an office with a view!
