Saint Raphael Healthcare System, a hospital providing advanced care for cancer, orthopedic and stroke patients was running out of space. However, the crowded urban setting left little construction-site space available for the Family Health Center they desperately needed. Fortunately, Modular Space was able to offer a creative alternative enabling them to maximize the space they already had.

By crane setting modular offices on top of their existing cancer center, Saint Raphael as able to add quick and flexible space while remaining fully operational.

To permanently integrate the new modular buildings to the Hospital's second story, a customized connection corridor was constructed. Stucco finish was applied to blend aesthetically with the surrounding medical campus. Finally, resourceful interior space planning produced areas for triage, surgery, administrative, utility, record keeping and reception space.

Over time, the choice to implement this innovative modular application for their Family Health Center will help Saint Raphael Healthcare System gain the revenue to construct a new 60,000 square foot patient tower.
