Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to some frequently asked questions.

Maintaining our image is important. Am I compromising appearance or quality by selecting modular buildings?
No. The materials that are used in constructing certain modular buildings are the same as those materials found in conventional construction. And, because we need to ensure our modular buildings can be transported over the road, they are designed and constructed to stringent standards. Modular buildings also offer endless design options that frequently exceed customer's expectations - such as matching an existing structure's exterior, installing a specialized roofing system, or designing a customized interior. What criteria do you incorporate into the design of modular buildings?
ModSpace's buildings are designed against criteria that meet the toughest codes, ordinances, laws, ADA and fire safety rules.

What is the turnaround time for modular buildings?
In most cases, in-fleet, stock buildings can be delivered in as little as 24 hours. Custom buildings can be available within 6 to 8 weeks upon plan approval.

Am I limited to a particular size or building configuration?
No. Modular buildings can be designed in many configurations ranging from a few hundred to thousands of square feet. Private and wide-open rooms as well as single and multiple stories are also available. Click here to explore the possibilities.

You claim modular buildings can be relocated. How difficult is the relocation process?
The relocation is not difficult thanks to the pre-fabrication process used in constructing modular buildings. Here's how it works. Modular buildings are completed within a controlled manufacturing environment with systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC pre-installed. The building modules are then transported to the site by truck. Once the modules are delivered, they undergo a simple finishing process whereby the building's seams, electrical, and plumbing systems are connected. If the building needs to be relocated later, it is simply a matter of disconnecting the system connections, cutting the tack welds, lifting the building, and preparing it for shipment.

Where have your buildings been located? What if I have multiple needs in different areas?
ModSpace's buildings have been located throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Our extensive branch network has over 80 localized offices, enabling us to provide consistent service for customers with multiple location needs on an international, national, or regional basis.
