The New York Red Bulls needed a new centralized training facility near Red Bull Stadium. Aesthetically, the facility had to be consistent with Red Bull’s iconic global brand. Functionally, it had to support a 24/7/365 business, as well as the needs of world-class athletes.
Following a tour of Red Bull Stadium, ModSpace’s in-house Construction Services Team designed a facility that matches the distinct look and feel of the Red Bull brand.
Red Bull leases the land so ModSpace’s ability to provide buildings that were relocatable was critical. The administrative and training buildings are floorless modular structures mounted on monolithic slab foundations. This cost and time-saving solution was also better for the wear and tear that comes with the intended use. ModSpace also provided pre-engineered steel structures for the utility buildings. This was a cost-saving solution and also provided the necessary ceiling height for the machinery. Timing was also an important consideration. Team owners needed the facility up and running for the spring training season. ModSpace met the tight schedule and the New York Red Bulls moved in to their new world-class training facility before the 2014 MLS season.
